Holy Ghost Control

Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel?
And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you (2 Co. 6. 14-17).

I read Pastor David's blog, in which He was writing about the necessity of giving the Holy Ghost full control. In his essay, He quoted John 1.16: And of His fulness have all we received. Pastor Dave wrote, "The Holy Spirit is not fully received until He is fully in charge. We simply haven't received Him if we haven't given Him complete control."

The Lord gave me the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, as He promised, in Ep. 1.17. I asked Him for revelation concerning the first chapter of Ephesians. In vs. 18 - 21 we read of the infinite power we, as believers, have in Christ Jesus. Vs. 19 declares the power toward us to be the very power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him at God's right hand. There is no greater power than that!

But we can't have that power if we present ourselves as some blemished sacrifice unto God. It's simply a contradiction to reserve for ourselves some manner of sinfulness and expect, on the other hand, to be filled with the Holy Ghost and wield the power that raised Christ from the grave.

The Holy Ghost impressed upon me the importance that you are His inheritance. For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's (1. Co. 6.20). You are His holy temple. The Spirit of the Living God dwells in you. Shouldn't I have some manner of respect for God's temple? The Bible declares the fulness of His power rests within.

After Pentecost, the fulness of God's power was clearly in the disciples. The promise of Jesus was we would do greater miracles, if we would believe. I've been asking the question for nearly 32 years now. Why is it not evident now? The answer some give, "It was only for the first century" is neither satisfactory nor scripturally acceptable. To go that way is a lower form of criticism which caused this country to fall to the depth of sin and condemnation it is now in. The above answer is not of God.

The answer is in giving the Holy Ghost complete control. We can start by praying, "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done."

I'll be glad to read any other answers.

The Holy Spirit Will Lead You

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come (Jn. 16.13).

There is an infinite amount of knowledge our Lord wants us to know. He has promised the Holy Ghost will lead us into all truth. For that matter I have asked Him to help me know three things this week:

1.) Prayers of the saints and incense on the Golden Altar of Incense and the transition of it from the Holy Place to the Most Holy Place.

2.) The link between free will and predestination.

3.) The exceeding greatness of His power is in us, the saints. Please know and understand, the power of Almighty God is in you, Beloved. You can move the mighty hand of God in prayer, yes, but simply convince the Father to grudgingly move his hand? No! His power to us and in us is as great as that which caused Christ to rise from the dead and be seated at the Father's right hand.

The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places (Ep. 1.18-20).

Now that blows my mind. I need the Holy Spirit to help me understand that.

The point is, we have tremendous wealth in God's economy. Don't you know that material wealth is of the beggarly things of the earth? Sure we need to pay for things and money is needed to support missions (which I hope you do). We need the true wealth which can only come from the Father of Lights. Wealth that is above all power, rule, principality and every ungodly spirit in the spiritual realm.

The time is short, the summer is nearly spent. we must let no one, as far as it is within us say, we are not saved.
The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved (Je. 8.20).
